Colourful White is an animated documentary directed by Jiahao Li, with assistant directors Yuwei Jiang and Jan Zhou, for which Olivia composed the original score. The film was selected for the London International Animation Festival (2024), the Brighton International Animation Festival (2025), and the British Short Film Awards, where it was nominated for both Best Student Short Film and Best Animated Short Film in 2025.
The dialogue-driven nature of the film called for a subtle and restrained musical approach, allowing the narration to remain at the forefront while supporting its emotional landscape. Drawing on spacious textures and gentle harmonic movement, the score creates an atmospheric backdrop that complements the film's reflective subject matter, balancing emotional expression with narrative clarity.
