Barbican Silent Cinema

Commissioned by the Barbican Centre in London, this silent film and live music event took place in June 2023 at Cinema 1, with music performed by the Guildhall Session Orchestra and conducted by Peter Longworth. This piece was scored specifically for a segment from the 1924 film Menilmontant which was directed by Dimitri Kirsanoff and takes inspiration from the french music scene of that period.
